Eve Nelson is a highly respected and much sought after music producer & songwriter in the record and TV & film industries. Her expertise and unwavering commitment to music and vocal production has elevated every musical project she's touched. Her musical background, spanning composing, arranging, scoring,songwriting and producing, is a testament to her multifaceted skill set.
Her exceptional ability to interpret a story musically has earned her a prestigious 2018 Daytime Emmy Award for Best Original Song, as well as a 2015 Daytime Emmy Nomination and a 2022 Cleo Nomination. Eve's stand out presence pioneers much needed female producers in the music industry.
Eve's musical journey traces back to her deep roots in classical, jazz and R&B. Her initial foray into music saw her sign her first publishing deal with Zomba Publishing, swiftly followed by her breakthrough as a record producer with Jive Records. Eve possesses the rare gift of capturing the essence and emotion of various musical genres, whether it's pop, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, dance or classical. As she aptly puts it, "I have traveled many musical paths in my career, and I feel a sense of home in every genre..."
Notably, Eve's role as producer and arranger on Chaka Khan's critically acclaimed album "ClassiKhan" marked a career milestone. She conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, which led to her invitation to conduct at the Royal Albert Hall in London. ClassiKhan, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, featured guest appearances by pianist Joe Sample and percussionist Sheila E. People magazine named ClassiKhan the "best jazz standards record of the decade." Eve arranged for and performed live with Chaka Kahn, Seal, Rufus Wainwright and James Taylor among others at Joni Mitchell's 75th tribute concert at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Eve is the "first call" film studios make when they need a master vocal producer for a show in Hollywood. Eve has a special gift for making the actors and singers she works with feel at ease in the studio, which brings out their very best performances. Her primetime experience includes series such as "This is Us," "Only Murders in the Building," "Black-ish," "High School Musical: The Series," "The Idol," "Little Fires Everywhere," "Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration," "The Disney Family Singalong Series Vol 1 and 2," "A League of Their Own (Series)," "Grey's Anatomy," "The Office," "Scrubs," "Modern Family," "Ghost Whisperer," "Revenge," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and many more.
Notable actors and musicians who have worked with Eve in her Orange Couch Sessions Studio include: Queen Latifah, John Stamos, H.E.R., Josh Groban, Ashton Kutcher, Martin Short, Shania Twain, Wrabel, Alan Menkin, Priyanka Chopra, the cast of The Office, Mandy Moore and Stephen Schwartz, among others.
Early on Eve's musical talent was recognized when she became the inaugural recipient of the ASCAP Scholarship from Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with honors in just two years. Eve's dedication to the music community extends to mentoring young alumni and conducting workshops under the banner "Women in Tune."
